Oldest Historical Buildings in the Philippines
1. Our Lady of Immaculate Conception
Located in Baclayon, Bohol, the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Concepcion is one of the oldest churches in the country. The church used to be a visita or chapel in 1595 when Fr. Juan de Torres and Fr. Gabriel Sanchez, first settled in Baclayon. It is one of the best-preserved Jesuit build churches in the region.
2. San Agustin Church
Considered as one of the four baroque churches in the Philippines, San Agustin Church located in Intramuros Manila stands the oldest church in the Philippines. Built in 1599 and completed in 1607.
3. Simborio Chapel
If you visit Bulacan, make sure to have a stopover in one of the town’s major attraction; Simborio Chapel. One of the oldest existing structures from the Spanish era and constructed in the 1800s. Its remarkably rather low height or elevation made it unique from other similar structures.
4. The Paoay Church
The main purpose of the construction of the church is to withstand earthquake. Its construction started in 1704 and completed in 1894. The design of the church is a mixture of Gothic, Oriental and Baroque influence. Its walls are 1.67 meters thick and supported by 24 carved and massive buttresses.
5. San Sebastian Church
Built in 1621, San Sebastian Church was cited as the first all-iron church in the world, the first iron edifice in Asia and the second in the world after Eiffle Tower by the The Order of the Agustinian Recollect (OAR) Parishes Manual.

8. San Guillermo Parish Church
Located in Bacolor, Pampanga, San Guillermo Parish Church is not only one of the oldest but also one of the largest churches in the Philippines. The rich decorations of the church depict the Baroque style of architecture.
9. Patrocinio De Maria Church in Boljoon
The church of Boljoon is the oldest remaining original stone church in Cebu. It is the only church, which gives the real feeling of the colonial past.
10. Basilica Menor Del Santo Niño
It is the second oldest in the Philippines after Bohol’s Baclayon Church. It houses the country’s oldest religious icon, the image of Señor Sto. Niño. The Magellan Cross standing at the south entrance of the Basilica is an additional to the historical value of the church.
11. San Nicolas Church
Located in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, San Nicolas Church is one of the oldest buildings in the province. Its original structure is one of the must see places of the town.
12. Barasoain Church
Also known as, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Barasoain Church is popular for its architectural design and inner decoration. It is one of the oldest churches in the Philippines built in 1630.
13. Dauis Church
